Exactly 2 years ago, my god daughter was born. The events surrounding her birth and the way God came through for us can only be described as a miracle. We were all waiting for our November bundle but she arrived in October. Truly, while the mum was still on admission, I had to call my parents to help me in prayers. I remember my mum said, “Don’t worry. God has done it already.” Surely, God came through for us but I was bothered in my spirit. Why did we have to go through all that? A year later, I had S2 as and that was when Romans 8:28 became clearer. Though the whole process didn’t go as we planned, at the end, we had testimonies, our faith was strengthened and Yes! God did it. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28) Was God the orchestrator of our troubles? Definitely No! Whether the challenges were health induced or perchance, the events worked for our good. We stood firm in our faith. We prayed more. We became more convinced that God is working for us. Surely, the medical experts were shocked at some point to see our progress but our God wasn’t surprised at all. Now, we can testify to strengthen the faith of others, we can encourage people who are down and most importantly, we have become living testimonies of what God does. Perchance you may be going through stuff that cannot be discussed with others, let me assure you that God is still doing good. He hasn’t changed and He hasn’t given up on you. Therefore, do not give up on yourself. Some people receive the answers to their prayers in the morning, others in the afternoon and yet still others in the evening. There is no lateness on the part of God. When it seems like God is not listening, do not give up praying. Maybe he is cooking the best jollof rice for you. Don’t be content with the sauce. Let Him stir the menu until it is ready to be served. You will know that the timing was perfect.

You always come through at the right time. Today, we thank you for showing us MERCY… Help our unbelief so we keep trusting in You each day. Amen
