We are in the second half of the year. After surviving a global pandemic for 2 years I believe most people were looking forward to a year to wind down. However, the year has not been all that calm. With the resurgence of pandemics, wars, political uproar among others, many people are wondering if we will ever return to normalcy. Well, this could be the new normal lifestyle. But, irrespective of what is happening around us, we still have a lot of reasons to pause and give praise. To be alive is a big deal and we should not take it for granted. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. (Psalms 100:4) The Psalmist reminds us to “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name” (Psalms 100:4). We should not enter the house of God with sadness. Irrespective of what is happening, God has been good. Yes, “the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations” (Psalms 100:5). Dear God, we are thankful for all you have done for us. Blessed be Your Holy name.
