Ruth 4:9-10 NIV
Then Boaz announced to the elders and all the people, “Today you are witnesses that I have bought from Naomi all the property of Elimelek, Kilion and Mahlon. I have also acquired Ruth the Moabite, Mahlon’s widow, as my wife, in order to maintain the name of the dead with his property, so that his name will not disappear from among his family or from his hometown. Today you are witnesses!”
February 20 is a special day— it’s the birthday of Dr. Mary Agronah! And what better way to celebrate than to share the incredible news that Mary's book, Ruth the Moabite: Faith, Redemption, and God’s Perfect Plan, is now available for purchase!
Ruth’s story is one of divine repositioning. A foreign widow with no earthly security, she chose faith over fear, following Naomi to Bethlehem with nothing but trust in God’s provision. Yet, in God’s perfect timing, her obedience led her to Boaz—a man of integrity and kindness—who became her redeemer.
Boaz announced before the elders:
“Today you are witnesses that I have bought from Naomi all the property of Elimelek, Kilion, and Mahlon. I have also acquired Ruth the Moabite, Mahlon’s widow, as my wife… Today you are witnesses!” (Ruth 4:9-10, NIV)
In one moment, Ruth moved from a season of uncertainty to a place of stability, from gleaning in the fields to owning them, from sorrow to significance. She was no longer an outsider—she was woven into the lineage of King David and, ultimately, Jesus Christ.
God is still in the business of repositioning lives! According Dr. Mary Agronah, she is a product of God’s grace and mercy in repositioning. She said, "Like Ruth, I have seen how faithfulness in the little things leads to divine breakthroughs."
This is why Ruth the Moabite is a must-have Bible study. It will:
☆Deepen your faith by showing how God works through obedience and trust.
☆ Encourage perseverance in difficult seasons, knowing God is always orchestrating a greater plan.
☆Teach valuable lessons on redemption, divine favor, and stepping into God’s purpose.
As you read, may you find hope in Ruth’s story and see how God is positioning you for something greater.
