At the beginning of every new year, resolutions are made and most people try as much as possible to have many of the resolutions achieved by the end of the year. It is possible to end a year with unresolved resolutions. We should not be discouraged if we don’t achieve all our goals. We have been given another 365 days to try again. It is a new beginning to try again. Whenever we have a new year, God gives us a blank template to fill it up. While some people fill their templates quickly, others may take a while to fill theirs. Don’t give up if you are unable to achieve all your goals. Keep pressing and keep trusting. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.(Genesis 1:1) Creativity is a skill that does not come naturally to all people. God is the Master Creator. In 6 days, He created the whole world and filled it with all the living creatures. God’s creativity at the beginning of the world brightened the world. Therefore anytime I lack creativity in my life, I turn to God. He knows how to make life spring out of emptiness. He designs the best masterpieces. This year, I have decided to let go and let go take the wheel of my life. I have surrendered to Him to show me the way forward. I have a blank template and I am filling this template together with God. Maybe you are like me. You had lots of unfulfilled dreams and goals in 2020 and 2021. You don’t even think a new year resolution is worth it anymore because you have a backlog of unresolved resolutions. Remember, God has given us another blank template to fill it out. Do your best but let God lead you. Not every desire will ultimately lead you to your goals. Sometimes, God has to redirect us, change our plans, alter our schedules so that we can complete the year and not get stuck. If there is the need for God to redirect your ways, allow Him to lead you to the streams of living waters. He surely will take care of whatever we commit to Him. Remember, not every heart desire leads to God’s plan for your life. May we be able to discern the things that will ultimately lead us to the perfect will of God. Sometimes, we will have to make sacrifices, in order to ensure the common goal of the family. May God grant us wisdom when there is the need for sacrifices to be made. God is still faithful. Happy New Year!
