Praise the Lord!

Psalms 150 is a psalm of praise. The Psalmist gives a call to praise the Lord. The call to praise in this scripture is symbolic as the Psalmist reminds the reader of many reasons to praise the Lord (verse 1-2). Music instruments for praise are also listed in this psalm (verse 3-5). Finally, the Psalmist calls on everything that has breath to praise the Lord Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. (Psalms 150:6) We have different personalities and temperaments. I really align with the Psalmist when it comes to praising the Lord. I love to dance in my praises to the Lord. Others prefer to lift their hands and yet others go on their knees. Whatever your preference, know that we have been called to praise the Lord. Sometimes, when we press the praise button, we give God the opportunity to do what He does best. Joshua and the Israelites defeated the pompous gated city of Jericho with praise. No matter the giant you are facing in life now, remember that praise is a mighty weapon.  Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. (Psalms 150:1‭-‬6)
