The eleventh hour

Happy New Month. God had been good to us. He has taken us through 10 months successfully and we are certain that God will see us through the remainder of the year. The world has experienced 2 years like no other… 2021 and 2021 will go down in the history book as the years that the whole world came to a standstill. But ….wait… do we even know what 2022 is carrying on its shoulders. What we know is that whatever our lot, the Lord is our all sufficiency. Even in the dying minutes, God will show up massively in our lives. And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? (Matthew 20:6 KJV) For the past few days, I have been contemplating the 11th hour and November happens to be the 11th month. In Matthew 20, we are told of a man who hired people to work for him at different times in the day. The last group of workers were hired at the 11th hour (5pm) and they worked for just an hour. However, at the end of the day, all workers were given the same wage. At first glance, it sounds unfair to those hired earlier. But the man was fair because each worker received what he was promised. This drew my attention to the fact that at the end of the day, whoever does the Master’s will is rewarded. We are in November and you might consider it too late to begin something. In your heart, nothing can be done, you have lost all the opportunities of 2021. I want to tell you that God can give you your full reward even at the 11th hour. He can wipe your tears and replace it with a broad smile only IF you allow him. The workers hired at the 11th hour could have refused to work but their commitment even in the 11th hour led them to receive the same wage as those hired earlier. Remember, it is not too late to start. Don’t allow procrastination to be a barrier. Don’t shut yourself out and decree your life as a total loss. Stand up today and go into the field. Put your best at work and let us gather here on December 31st for the party. God is faithful… Happy New Month and remember… you are not too late to be blessed.
