When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb.

Mary received an unusual greeting from the angel of God. This greeting led to a divine conception of a divine seed. After Mary had been told about Elizabeth’s pregnancy, Mary hurriedly went to the hill country of Judea to visit Elizabeth. Just as Mary was greeted by the angel, she also greeted Elizabeth when she arrived in Elizabeth’s home. Then something wonderful happened.”When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit” (Luke 1:41). The voice of the mother of the Saviour of the world, caused the baby who was going to prepare the way for the Saviour to respond. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. (Luke 1:41) Mary had an immaculate conception of a Holy seed and the son of God grew in her womb. Her body was the incubator for God’s only Son. She was actually carrying God in her womb. What! Does it even make sense? God the creator of the world resides in the womb of His creation so that creation will be saved from the wages of sin. Which god does that? Wait a minute! God in His fullness, glory, majesty, radiance, awesomeness resided in the womb of a young Jewish teenager? This is the greatest miracle in the history of mankind. No wonder Mary’s voice caused the baby in the womb of Elizabeth to rejoice. This is the story of Christmas, God is with us… Emmanuel. However, God’s presence on earth did not end with Mary’s pregnancy or with Jesus’ life on earth. As believers, we house the Godhead within us. Yes! You heard me right! We are the temple of God. The Father, the Son and the Holiday Spirit dwell within us. We are live coals and we daily radiate the presence of God. If someone sees us, they should see the likeness of God in us. Just as Mary’s greeting caused the baby John to leap for joy even in the womb, we should also cause lives to be transformed, renewed and rededicated to Christ. What kind of greeting are you bringing to people this Christmas? Jesus’ birth brought joy to the world. Be a source of joy. Joy to the world! The Savior reigns Let men their songs employ While fields and floods Rocks, hills and plains Repeat the sounding joy Repeat the sounding joy Repeat, repeat the sounding joy Merry Christmas and a Blessed New year.
